Application
PromaCare TGA(80%) is an organic compound with both carboxylic acid and thiol functional groups. It works by destroying the disulfide bonds in hair keratin and weakening the hair shaft to make hair pliable and easy to remove. It is the main ingredient in depilatory creams and depilatory lotions, and although the products are effective in removing hair, they should be used with caution as they may irritate the skin. PromaCare TGA(80%) is also used in “perms”, which alter the protein structure of the hair to give it a new shape, and are a common method of creating long-lasting curls or waves in the hair.
