Application

Sunsafe-HMS is a UVB filter. Widely used in water-resistant sun care formulations. Good solvent for powder form, oil-soluble UV filters like Sunsafe-MBC(4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor), Sunsafe-BP3(Benzophenone-3), Sunsafe-ABZ(Avobenzone) and etc.. Used in various sun care products for UV protection, e.g: sun spray, sunscreen etc.

(1) Sunsafe-HMS is an effective UVB absorber with a UV absorbance (E 1%/1cm) of min. 170 at 305nm for various applications.

(2) It is used for products with low and – in combination with other UV filters – high sun protection factors.

(3) Sunsafe-HMS is an effective solubilizer for crystalline UV absorbers such as Sunsafe-ABZ, Sunsafe-BP3, Sunsafe-MBC, Sunsafe-EHT, Sunsafe-ITZ, Sunsafe-DHHB, and Sunsafe-BMTZ. It can reduce the use of other oily compounds and reduce the greasy feel and stickiness of the product.

(4) Sunsafe-HMS is oil soluble and can therefore be used in water-resistant sunscreens.

(5) Approved world-wide. Concentration maximum varies according to local legislation.

(6) Sunsafe-HMS is a safe and effective UVB absorber. Safety and efficacy studies are available on request.

(7) Sunsafe-HMS is approved for use worldwide. It is biodegradable, does not bioaccumulate, and has no known aquatic toxicity.
