Application
Carbomer is an important thickener. It is a high polymer crosslinked by acrylic acid or acrylate and allyl ether. Its components include polyacrylic acid (homopolymer) and acrylic acid / C10-30 alkyl acrylate (copolymer). As a water-soluble rheological modifier, it has high thickening and suspension properties, and is widely used in coatings, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction, detergents and cosmetics.
Uni-Carbomer 2020 is a hydrophobic modified, cross-linked acrylate copolymer that offers medium to high viscosity, smooth, long fluidity, and efficient thickening properties over a wide pH range.The product is easy to disperse but the hydration speed is slow, so the dispersion viscosity is low, easy to use pump delivery;It can also be used in systems containing moderate surfactants, providing electrolyte resistance and a unique feel to the formulation, making it suitable for many applications.

Advice:
1. The recommended usage is 0.2-1.5wt
2. When dispersing the polymer, you can see the formation of layered and flocculated particles before stirring.In order to obtain homogeneous dispersions, it is recommended to increase the concentration of dispersions ≥ 2.0wt %.
3. When used in high content surface active system, it is recommended to add surfactant first to avoid the surfactant affecting the extension of molecular chain of Kapo resin, thus affecting the viscosity, transmittance and yield value of the middle and the end.
Following operations are forbidden, otherwise result in loss of thickening ability:
– Lasting stir or high-shear stir after neutralization
– Lasting UV irradiation
– Combine with electrolytes
