Application
Carbomer is an important thickener. It is a high polymer crosslinked by acrylic acid or acrylate and allyl ether. Its components include polyacrylic acid (homopolymer) and acrylic acid / C10-30 alkyl acrylate (copolymer). As a water-soluble rheological modifier, it has high thickening and suspension properties, and is widely used in coatings, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction, detergents and cosmetics.
Uni-Carbomer 980HC is a crosslinked acrylic polymer, which uses environmentally friendly cyclohexane and ethyl acetate as reaction solvent. It is a water soluble rheology thickening agent with high efficiency of thickening and suspension. Its high transmittance is especially suitable for transparent gel, water alcohol gel and cream, and can form bright, transparent water or water gels.
Performance and advantages:
Short term rheological properties
High viscosity
High transparency
Application fields:
Hair styling gel; Water alcohol gel; Moisturizing gel; Shower Gel; Hand, body and face care lotion; Cream
Advise:
The recommended dosage is 0.2-1.0 wt%.
While stirring, the polymer is evenly dispersed in the medium, but the agglomeration is avoided, and the polymer is fully stirred to disperse.
The results show that the polymer with pH 5.0-10 has better thickening performance; In the system with water and alcohol, the neutralizer should be selected correctly.
High speed shearing or stirring should be avoided after neutralization to reduce viscosity loss.
