Application
Carbomer is an important thickener. It is a high polymer crosslinked by acrylic acid or acrylate and allyl ether. Its components include polyacrylic acid (homopolymer) and acrylic acid / C10-30 alkyl acrylate (copolymer). As a water-soluble rheological modifier, it has high thickening and suspension properties, and is widely used in coatings, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction, detergents and cosmetics.
Uni-Carbomer-990 is a crosslinked acrylic polymer. It uses environmentally friendly cyclohexane and ethyl acetate as reaction solvents. It is a water soluble rheology thickening agent with high efficiency of thickening and suspension. It has the characteristics of short rheology (no trickle) and is widely used in transparent gel, water alcohol gel and cream. It can form bright, transparent water or water gel and cream.
Performance and benefits:
1. Short rheological behavior
2. High viscosity
3. Extremely high thickening, suspension and stability properties
4. High transparency
Application field:
1. Hair styling gel, water alcohol gel
2. Moisturizing gel
3. Shower gel.
4. Hand, body and facial lotion
5. Cream
Advice:
The recommended usage is 0.2 to 1.0 wt%.
While stirring, the polymer is evenly spread in the medium, but avoid agglomeration, stirring sufficiently to disperse it.
The polymer with pH of 5.0 ~ 10 in middle and medium has better thickening property. In the system with water and alcohol, the neutralizer should be selected correctly.
High speed shearing or stirring should be avoided after neutralization to reduce viscosity loss.
